Intel’s SciArt uses Fruit fly on GMO

I had the honor to work on Intel’s SciArt Series. Intel sponsors a science fair of very advanced high school students and partners some of them up with artist. I had the opportunity to choose from many experiments/inventions to illustrate. The one that resonated with me most from the list I looked at was student scientist Araw Akram’s research on the effects of genetically modified food on the fruit fly. As you’d imagine, if you know anything about GMO foods, it had a very negative impact on the fruit fly.
